These German made barrel releases are highly engineered. They have a mylar insert that provides grip so that inadvertent release is less likely. The Mylar also allows you to open the release when there is true zero line tension (zero line tension is impossible as the line itself has weight so can never be truly zero tension) so this release is also one of the safest on the market and is fully compliant with the BHPA regs on releasing with a slack line. No release is fool-proof. But hands down, this is the safest and best engineered aerotow release that money can buy!
Comes supplied with metal ring (for end of tow line if only cord ended), chunky (and very short!) bridle and a handful of weak link cord lengths for making weak links.
